Martin Hofmann
Martin Hofmann is a senior communications and marketing strategist with 25 years of business and public sector experience. Based in Toronto, he is the principal of strategic communications consultancy Oversea Strategies. Martin manages change, crises, issues, and reputation for his clients, including strategic planning, training, coaching, positioning, storytelling, and content creation. He also consults on target operating models and digital platforms that improve communication and engagement with employees, partners, customers, boards, and other stakeholders.
Martin is passionate about exploring the rapidly increasing significance of strategic change communication for crisis prevention. After leading transformational initiatives and planning the communication of different types of change, he now works with people and organizations to help them navigate through digital transformations and other challenging business scenarios.
Since starting his career in the office of a Member of the German Federal Parliament, Martin’s professional duties have included strategic communications planning, issues management, crisis communications, change communications, brand consulting, and content marketing. Working for international agencies in Europe and North America, he oversaw integrated communications and marketing projects for start-ups and large enterprise organizations. He also worked for the Ontario government and was the co-founder and managing partner of creative content agency and video studio Big Red Oak.
